HOW TO PREPARE HOMEMADE JELLY BEANS
For this recipe we will need:
– Gelatin powders of the flavors that we want, such as strawberry, lemon, apple or cola.
– 200 ml of water.
– 200 grams of sugar.
– Azúcar glass.
We will put a saucepan with water on the fire and, once it is boiling, we will add the gelatin sachet. If we want to prepare more than one flavor of homemade candy, we must boil each of the flavors separately. We will stir the powder well in the water so that the gelatin dissolves well. Next we will add sugar. Depending on the amount of water we will add the same amount of sugar , for example, for 200 ml of water we will add 200 grams of sugar. We will constantly mix the sugar with the gelatin water so that it also dissolves well. Once it has dissolved we will turn off the fire and let it cool a little, but not too much.
Meanwhile we will take an ice bucket and grease it well with margarine or sunflower oil, in this way the jellies will come out more easily from the mold once they are cold. When the mixture is warm, since too hot could spoil the mold and too cold it would be hardening, we will put the mixture in the mold. If we have leftover mix, we can use shot glasses to create slightly larger sweets.
We will let the mixture cool down to room temperature until it is completely compact. We must be careful not to remove the mixture from the molds prematurely if we do not want the treats to fall apart as they are not yet too consistent.
Once they have cooled, after a maximum of 24 hours, we will remove them from the molds carefully as long as they do not break and we will coat them with icing sugar. We will wait a few hours again for them to be completely consistent and our treats will be ready to eat.
HOW TO PREPARE HOMEMADE CLOUDS
Another of the homemade sweets that we can prepare are the clouds. They may seem very complicated at first glance, but they are very simple to do and you can enjoy them with a few simple steps. We will need:
– 175 grams of water.
– 110 grams of sugar.
– A little vanilla essence.
– A little fructose (13 grams, approximately)
– 1 envelope of strawberry flavor gelatin.
– Food coloring (optional to give them color).
– Azúcar glass.
As for sweets, we will boil water in a saucepan, later we will add sugar, vanilla essence and a little fructose to form a paste. Once everything is dissolved we will add an envelope of gelatin, preferably with strawberry flavor, and one more glass of water so that everything dissolves well in the fire. Stir constantly and if the dough is too thick add more water until it is completely homogeneous.
For the clouds to be of different colors we will have to add a little coloring, otherwise they will all be white. For each color of clouds that you want to cook, you will have to boil several mixtures of those already mentioned separately.
Once we have mixed everything well, we will remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool until it is warm. We will pour the contents of the saucepan into a source sprinkled with icing sugar and we will make sure that all the mixture is well battered. Later we will let it cool for twelve hours.
When the mixture is dry and consistent, we will cut squares with a knife and coat them one by one with icing sugar, letting them cool for two more hours. Once they are consistent, the clouds will be ready to eat.
HOW TO PREPARE HOMEMADE CANDIES
This is perhaps the simplest homemade candy recipe . For it we only need two ingredients:
– 2 glasses of sugar.
– Half a glass of water.
We will put half a glass of water in a saucepan and let it come to a boil. Once it is boiling we will add two full glasses of sugar to the mixture and stir them well with a wooden spoon. By constantly stirring it, we will make sure that all the sugar is melting and, if we see that the mixture is too liquid, we will add a little more sugar until it is like syrup.
Once it is thick we will turn off the heat and put the mixture in a silicone or metal mold (previously greased with butter), so that they do not melt with the hot caramel. It is better that it be a mold with small holes, such as an ice bucket , since this way you will not have to cut the candies later.
Once you have put all the mixture in the molds, we will let the candies cool at room temperature between 4 and 6 hours , until they are completely hard. Once they have cooled, we will remove them from the mold and they will be ready to eat. The good thing about homemade candies is that they are very easy to make.
