The masks will be mandatory from 6 years
Masks are one of the preventive measures when it comes to avoiding contagion along with the use of gloves and daily cleaning of the hands.
To date, one of the most controversial issues in relation to the pandemic is that which refers to the use of masks . It is quite common to see people on the street with these masks and others who do not. In the case of children, the younger they are, the less frequent it is that they carry it.
This will change since as of today the Government requires the use of masks in public spaces from 6 years of age, as long as the two meters of safety cannot be guaranteed. This is intended to prevent a rebound of the virus and control infections in the best possible way.

MASKS ARE PREVENTIVE MEASURES AGAINST COVID-19
As we have already mentioned before, as of today the authorities of the country have issued a law that makes it mandatory to wear a mask that covers both the mouth and the nose in any public space, provided that it is not possible to keep the distance security .
This includes children over 6 years of age as a preventive measure when it comes to avoiding possible infections in the face of the de-escalation phase that began in our country a few weeks ago. Any measure is good in order to avoid infections and contagion of said virus .
WHICH PEOPLE ARE EXEMPT FROM WEARING THESE MASKS
Not all people are required such masks as of today, there are certain groups of people who are exempt :
- If the person has any type of respiratory condition , the use of such a mask can make it difficult for them to breathe properly.
- The use of the mask is contraindicated due to a health problem that can be justified .
- Some people in a situation of dependency or disability may see their behavior altered when using these masks.
- If the person performs some type of activity in which they must eat food or drink liquids, they are not obliged to wear it either .
- Children under 6 years of age are also not required to wear such a mask .
PENALTIES FOR NOT WEARING A MASK
To this day, the penalties to which people who do not wear the mask in public spaces are exposed are still not known in much detail. Although the fines could reach around 600 euros as a minimum and 30,000 euros as a maximum. In any case, it is something that has not yet been approved by the government itself .
CHILDREN AND MASKS
Masks are one of the preventive measures when it comes to avoiding contagion along with the use of gloves and daily cleaning of the hands. In the case of children, the use of masks is quite complicated for the parents themselves due to how annoying they can be.
As we have already mentioned above, children from 6 years of age from today are obliged to wear the mask , as long as it is in a public space and does not maintain a safety distance of about two meters with other people. The parents are in charge of talking with the little one and making him see that the mask is necessary if he wants to go outside.
Do not hesitate to sit down and chat with the little one, until you make him see that it is a preventive measure that the government forces to comply with . In the case of children under 6 years of age, the issue of wearing the mask is much more complicated, so parents will at all times have the freedom to wear it or not when they go out.
