Teens can have trouble maintaining a responsible attitude in their day-to-day life. For this reason, it is so important that parents give them the necessary tools so that they learn that being it is absolutely necessary to have a good development in life.
In this sense, parents can follow the following strategies to promote this responsible attitude so important to life.

PROBLEMS TO SOLVE
Your job is not to make life easier for your teenager, it is to teach him the necessary skills so that he can learn to solve the problems that he encounters day after day. You have to teach your child how to get along in the real world as an adult. So, don’t solve his problems … because then you will only be turning him into an incapable person.
Provide situations where you have to think for yourself and see what you can do. They may even surprise you, since they themselves, if given the opportunity to solve their own problems … they can!
DEFEND YOURSELF IN LIFE
We don’t mean to teach him defense or hitting on a physical level … he doesn’t have to be a combat fighter . But, you do need to help him learn to negotiate when faced with a problem or conflict. If you get angry or have tantrums as an adult, this will not help you in any way, it is something complicated but you need to do your part to be the best example for your children.
Teach your child skills to stay calm in any situation, such as counting to 10 before losing patience , learning to walk away from a conflict, and helping him to recognize his emotions and be able to deal with them during conflicts.
TRUST THEMSELVES
The school teaches to follow the rules, but they do not teach anything about real life skills . You must teach them that, although they must receive instructions and that on many occasions they must follow them, they must also have independent and critical thinking, sometimes the rest of the world can be wrong.
Help your teenager learn to trust himself and his decisions. Although it is normal that throughout adolescence they make some bad decisions, they will learn from their mistakes and will be able to make better decisions in the future.
TALK ABOUT FAMILY MONEY
Your children should learn from you about how to manage money and budget correctly. If you don’t, they will have a hard time understanding how to make them themselves. Talk to your children about the various expenses that a house has such as the electricity bill, gas, other utility bills, food expenses, the cost of car maintenance, the mortgage bill or the payment of the rent, etc.
They can perfectly understand the income that there is or if you do not want to reveal that data, you can tell them that what is earned is used to pay all that and live well. Also, when they are working, they help you to cover part of those expenses, since they must also contribute within their possibilities to the family well-being, also financially. In this way they will also learn to know what to do when they live alone.
It is also important to talk to them about credit cards, what they are for, how they are used and why using them always is not a good option.
BE YOUR BEST EXAMPLE, ALWAYS
If you are not doing any of the things mentioned above, how can you expect your teen to become a responsible adult? You are his best example, so put your best part every day. Pay bills on time, keep your home clean and life well organized. If your children see in you the best example, it will be their best gift for the future.
