What if your child always has too many homework?
There are many children who take a lot of homework from school, what should you do about it?
Currently it is possible that schools send a lot of work to children and that this is an issue that worries you. Many parents currently complain because they see how their children do not have time to be children and can only do homework. It’s not just about the marathon study sessions every night, but also heavy duty tasks during the holidays and summers.

EXHAUSTION FROM HOMEWORK
Children feel completely drained … without downtime, children cannot absorb and retain their lessons, and they fear tasks so much that they are forced to do them without their inherently wanting to do it. Many parents feel that they are responsible for their children learning content from school rather than from teachers or the school in general.
It is not that the task is inherently evil, but that it has become unbalanced. The first question parents ask when their children walk through the front door is, ‘How much homework do you have?’ Thus showing the stress for this issue. For many families, everything revolves around that, and it is causing a lot of tension, crying and fighting. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Night after night, year after year, homework is swallowing up the things that are part of a good, healthy childhood, like playing games, exercising, hanging out with friends, spending time with parents, even getting bored and maybe getting creative.
Children who do not have a limit of time on tasks (eg 90 minutes) have reduced performance. After two hours of study and homework, children and adolescents need to rest.
For those who work longer, test scores actually go down. The bottom line is that all children should do homework, but the amount and type should vary depending on the grade they are in and the ability of the particular child.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK WITHOUT SO MUCH STRESS
Some children find it difficult to keep up with homework after a long school day. Here are 3 things parents can do to make the process less stressful.
How much is too much?
There are parents who get teachers to ease the burden of schoolwork on children, but in reality, a certain amount of homework is necessary for children to reinforce the content learned in class. The right amount, the difference between thoughtful assignments, and smart strategies that will help your children get the most out of their studies … will help them succeed in school.
A child in first grade should not spend more than 10 minutes doing a task , and children in sixth grade are capable of spending an hour. The best policy is to allow teachers to modify the length of homework to meet the needs of their students.
IF YOUR CHILD IS TOO STRESSED
If your child is too busy with homework, he may have the following characteristics: constant frustration, loss of motivation, little interest in learning, etc. Talk to other parents to see if they think how you do, and then talk to the teacher privately to ask cooperatively and never confrontationally what they think about the load of homework. Teachers often have no idea how stressful homework can be, and most will want to find a solution to this discomfort if it is widespread.
It is best to talk to teachers in a cooperative way so that they realize that you are in the same boat. It does not mean not doing homework or not sending homework if they do not see it necessary. This has more to do with children’s performance and productivity without directly attacking their motivation.
